St. Dominic
St. Dominic was founded as a mission of St. Felix in 1885. Parishioners worshipped in a frame church until 1900, when that structure was replaced with the current church. Father John Ganey arrived in Shortsville in 1922 and served as St. Dominic’s rst resident pastor. Father John Napier took over as pastor in 1927 and served the parish until 1958, and under his leadership the church was enlarged after it was damaged in a re in 1929.
