Located in the southeast corner of the Rochester Diocese, Blessed Trinity Parish’s three faith communities – St. James, Waverly; St. John the Evangelist, Newark Valley;
and St. Margaret Mary, Apalachin – serve Catholics over a wide region.
SSt. James was founded in 1853 with the opening of its rst church under Father James McManus. A second church building, dedicated in 1871, was destroyed by a 1912 re, but the following year a new structure went up. It still serves as St. James’
worship facility.
