People A Day in a Life With Ron Ben-Yehoshua
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering building custodian
57 years old • 35 years in his role • Lives in Ramot Yitzhak, Nesher
I start each morning with a
spiritual “recharging” session.
For the past decade, I have
studied Kabbalah with Rabbi
Dr. Michael Laitman.
I arrive at the faculty and start preparing the 05:00-06:00
buildings for another day of work and study. 06:00-08:00
My morning rounds include opening the
lecture... halls, meeting rooms, kitchens,
and so on. I also check the various
maintenance systems (air conditioning,
electricity, multimedia, etc.).
At the office—going over emails, issuing work orders, checking 08:00-09:30
the computerized maintenance systems, calling contractors and 09:30-10:30
maintenance professionals who are scheduled to come in for repairs
or work that day, and more. It’s also time for a coffee break with
something sweet.
The daily staff meeting with the campus’s
Head of Administration or with my team,
with updates and setting of ongoing tasks.
