Vered: “I reach the wonderful part of the day when I call my
grandchildren in England to talk and tell them a story (it’s
only 17:30 for them). Then I carry on with a quiet evening at
home, enjoying a book, crossword, or television.”

Shelly: “I start my second shift as a mom – but I always find
the time to enjoy a good book. I don’t even need to go to
the public library, because the Technion library includes an
excellent selection of non-academic books!”

Vered: “I instruct a graduate student on how to conduct a literature review.
With the sea of information that exists online, it’s important to be familiar with
efficient academic search tools. The Technion has subscriptions to these tools,
which help narrow the relevant results according to research topic.”

Shelly: “I take care of the book
donations that come in from
faculty members, students, and
people outside the Technion.
I try to find a new home for the
books whenever I can.”
Vered: “A student has turned in their thesis. I save it in the correct
places, and when the student gets their graduation certificate, I
will send it to be published on the Technion network. In addition,
I add it to a special display we have in the library for showing off
the new research taking place in the faculty."
