LitSite Alaska is an online community
promoting literacy, cultural diversity, and well-
being throughout Alaska. A gathering place for
families, communities, and teachers, LitSite
Alaska features narratives illustrating many
cultural aspects of life in Alaska. LitSite Alaska
contains a special feature called “Narrative and
Healing” aimed at health professionals. Narrative
and Healing focuses on the therapeutic properties
of writing and storytelling, providing examples
of how people of all ages face life’s challenges
through the art of telling their stories. LitSite
Alaska is currently accepting narrative essays
from nurses and other healthcare professionals.
