Reading EPHESIANS to Know God
Chapter 1 Introduction to the Whole Book
Let me say this right at the start and you’ll hear it many times as
we go through this book. We are here to study Christ. Not to
study Ephesians. To see the Lord, through the wonderful book of
Ephesians. Each book in the Bible gives a revelation of Christ in
a different way, emphasizing a different aspect of His glory.
There’s a picture of the Lord Jesus in the book of Ephesians that
is not found any place else. I speak as a fool but let me ask this
question, “If God were to dip down into your Bible and take out
Ephesians, what would you be losing; what would you be
missing? What does God give in Ephesians that He doesn’t give
anywhere else in the Bible the same way?
I’m going to be using the New American Standard. If it reads a

Ephesians? What does He want us to know? How does He want
us to see Christ? What does God want to accomplish in our lives
in the study of this marvelous book of Ephesians?

book;
“The unfathomable riches of Christ.”
In the King James Version, “The unsearchable riches of
Christ.” “Unsearchable” comes from a couple of Greek words
meaning, “ to track out”. The un-trackable riches of Christ. The
