Avradel Flood Manual
Prepare a ‘Grab Bag’
• When a flood arrives, it can take just seconds for the flood water
to enter your home. During your rush to get your family together
and safely out of the building there will be certain items which
you will need from your home to get by over the next several
days or more.
• You may find it useful to prepare a ‘Grab Bag’ once a flood
warning has been issued. This would contain all the documents
that you may need before returning to your home.
• There is not a set list of items to place in the ‘Grab Bag’, but we
would suggest that you consider including the following:
o Medication
o Passport(s)
o Insurance Documents (House, Building & Contents, Car,
Life Insurance etc)
o Birth, Marriage, Divorce Certificates as well as change of
name deeds
o Mortgage Papers, Rental Providers or Private Landlord
details
o Driving Licence
o Bank cards, cheque books & Building Society Pass Books
Do you have any information about what should be in a grab bag? if
you do then please contact Avradel and we will review it, and if suitable,
we will add it to the ‘Avradel Flood Manual’
