STAR PERFORMER

Gian Bonetti – Director Ambulatory Services,

Interim Imaging Administrator, Covid Commander

Before Emily went out on maternity leave, it was determined that an interim leader
should fill the role. The person they selected was Gian Bonetti. It seemed like an up-hill

battle for Gian, when he jumped into the role, as a series of unfortunate events were
hurled at him from all directions. On top of that he still had to fulfill his normal day to
day activities as the Director of Ambulatory Services.

During his short time in Imaging, Gian has had a dramatic impact on the

department. He has helped us correct a human resources issue that has plagued the
department for many years. Since that time our recruiting efforts have been much more
fruitful as leads are now receiving more applications than in the past.

Then the Corona Virus began to impact the United States, and Gian had to take on a
new role of “Covid Commander”. In the past few weeks he has continued to faithfully
fulfill his roles as Interim Administrator and Ambulatory Director, all while setting up

the Covid triage tent outside of the ED, and setting up the drive-thru testing site in the
south parking lot.

Thank you, Gian, for helping better our department and helping better the care we

provide the community. You are truly a Star Performer.
