LEADING FROM THE
HEART
“Teaching that impacts is not
Our common belief in business is that the heart has
no place in workplace management. In fact, most mind to mind but heart to
of us were taught that the heart acts like heart.”
Kryptonite in leadership: it inherently undermines
a manager's effectiveness and lowers productivity -Howard G. Hendricks
and profitability.”
But that is not how the way it works in the field of
education, as teachers we are being looked up by
the people in our community, colleagues, parents,
and most of all our students. To shape young
minds, we must also possess a good heart that
would fill the insufficiency of our students, we all
know that they do not only go to school just to be
fed up with information that they will soon forget,
for learning to take place, we must also keep in
mind that we also need to nurture their hearts and
individuality by being a teacher that leads from the
heart.
As a teacher, I would say that having a heart in
teaching is not a Kryptonite but rather the strength
I hold to shape young minds to love learning. “I am
a teacher at heart. My goal is to inspire and
energize audiences with ideas and possibilities that
will challenge them to expand their perceptions of
teaching and learning, and dare to consider our
professional future with optimism and
excitement.” — David Warlick
