ENGLISH MODULE                                                         GRADE 10



               INTRODUCTION



                           Description


                  English  is  a  language  used  by  most  people  in  the  world.  English  plays  an
            important  role  as  a  media  of  communication  especially  to  communicate  with
            others  from  abroad.  In  globalization  era,  people  from  around  the  world
            compete  each  other  to  be  able  to  use  English  both  oral  and  written.  Thus,
            English must be learnt since at the early age.
                  In  this  module,  English  is  aimed  to  make  students  show  the  behavior  of

            honest,  disciplined,  responsible,  care,  polite,  responsive  and  proactive.  This
            module      also   presents     some     expressions      such    as    expressions     of
            congratulations,  intention,  and  compliments.  To  make  students  ca n  deeply
            understand  about  English  structure,  this  module  presents  some  grammar
            material  such  as  Be  Going  to….,  would  like  to……,  Simple  Past  Tense  and
            Present  Perfect  Tense.  Besides,  kinds  of  text  are  also  presented  in  this
            module  involving  announcement,  descriptive  text,  recount  text,  and
            narrative  text.  By  learning  such  materials,  hopefully  students  will  have
            deeply  understanding  about  English  then  practice  it  into  daily  life  especially

            at school.


                           Module Usage

                  To  use  this  module,  the  students  must  follow  the  following  learning
            steps:

                Students pray first before the class.

                Students  must  prepare  relevant  textbooks  and  other  sources  found  in
                 the internet.

                Students  read  the  mind  map,  glossaries,  basic  competences,  and  the
                 learning objectives carefully.

                Students  do  “starting  Up”  activity  and  read  the  material  in  “Building
                 Blocks”  part  independently  and  after  that  do  all  activities  to  enhance
                 your new knowledge.

                Students  are  supposed  to  understand  about  problems  related  to  the
                 material.  If  the  students  still  have  not  understood  about  the  material
                 being learnt, ask your teacher for further explanation.
