One of the first times we were out fishing after dark, we worked our way back to the
Selfridge Launch. We were POSITIVE we were heading the right direction and as we approached
the launch, we noted that we didn't remember a "Carnival" along the shore! We realized we were
in front of the New Baltimore Fishfly Festival... quite a ways off!
Over the last 25+ years of boating on Lake St. Clair, we have learned all the "visual" land-
marks, since a GPS heading isn't always available, or it's just a pain to enter it into the Garmin.
