Committee and Board participation for 2019

We are starting the process for identifying potential candidates for adding to our Standing Committees and the
Board for next year. The Nominating Committee is Chaired by Alanna Quinn, Past President. Committee Members
include Betty Chee (Vice President), Eiko Aki, Jan Flott and Carol Heller-Mepham. If you are a team-player and
have relevant background or skills and are interested in participating on one of the committees or the Board in
2019, or if you know someone else who should be considered, please fill out a nomination form available in the
office or contact Alanna if you have any questions.

Update on planning activities

Thank you to all who had attended the Strategic Planning Member Consultation sessions held in the latter half of
July. Your feedback and suggestions have been invaluable. In the coming weeks and months, as we analyse the
results of the consultation sessions and continue to fill in the framework for the strategic plan, we hope to return
to you with more focussed questions. If you had missed the consultation sessions or have had more thoughts on
the themes lease do not hesitate to write in at planning@ladiesgolfclub.com.

The Land Sale Net Proceeds Strategy Committee has conducted research of golf clubs and other not-for-profit
organizations who have received lump sums, and that research will continue through the summer. We have also
started discussion of various scenarios for how the funds can be used to support long-term financial sustainability,
as well as criteria that can be used to prioritize potential projects.

The Land Sale Course Planning Committee has been busy developing principles upon which to evaluate
concepts, ensuring they have the complete list of possible considerations, while also evolving, adding and
eliminating possible design concepts. Please see their article for more information.

As expected, the Land Project Steering Committee Phase 3 continues to be in the waiting stage of the project
until we receive Markham’s formal comments on the application.
