As the one of the older of the two sets of twins in the home, sweet little Gage was very perplexed by
our presence, and sought out the comfort of his sister, Given’s hand when we approached them. Even
Beth, whom the Nannies have christened “Smile Bearer”, did not want to share one of her signature
smiles with us, preferring the comfort of her thumb!
Thankfully this fun
crew welcomed us
with open arms! A
wonderful aspect of
our time in Uganda
was getting to spend
time with Ken and
Cathy and getting to
meet their family.
Like so many LWB
supporters, their
family is comprised
of biological and
adopted children.
As adoptive parents and as people who care deeply about the plight of vulnerable children in their
home country, Ken and Cathy are therefore the perfect people to work alongside LWB as we start two
new initatives in Uganda- funding family reunifications and a foster care program.
