PROGRAMME
Astute Electronics will endeavour to supply components from fully traceable
routes. Should the need arise to procure components through a non-
traceable source the parts in question will undergo ACAP when applicable
The following Inspections & Tests will be carried out as per Industry guidelines:
Consistency: part number, internal packaging, labels, date code, MSL and product
specific packaging requirements
Visual Microscopy 20x magnification minimum
XRF Spectrometry, material analysis, and ROHS verification
Part Marking Permanency compliance
Scrape test for black topping
HCT – Heated Solvent testing (Dynasolve) – destructive test
Multimetre capacitance & resistance testing
X-Ray inspection
De-lid / De-Cap – Die verification (destructive test)
High Powered Microscopy
Scanning Electron Microscopy and EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy) analysis
Dataman – programming check
Solderability: wetting balance method IPC/EIA J-STD-002 (destructive test)
Following successful analysis & test through the ACAP programme, a Material
Investigation Report can be provided on request. All ACAP approved parts will ship with
Astute C of C and include our standard 10yr warranty. If at any point in ACAP the parts
are deemed suspect, Astute will place the entire batch into quarantine and follow the
disposition procedures as set out in our Quality Management System.
