Trump’s Economic Era

We have moved from a knowledge-based mastery
achievement system to a system that demands
uniformity—children are taught to fear decent from the
mainstream narrative and to be intolerant of opposing
viewpoints. Because Christianity is opposed to the
expansion of state power over people’s lives and
supports the concept of the individual, which is the
smallest minority, rather than the collective, it is a
            prime target.

The idea that the government would mandate
schools to teach things like gender identity issues and
homosexual marriage would have been inconceivable
ten years ago. Now not only is it accepted, but students
are considered regressive if they do not agree with this
liberal teaching. Every Student Succeeds Act weaves
alternative lifestyle education into every subject; even
math uses story problems dealing with the subject! The
classics are mostly gone in the humanities and have
            been replaced by social issues.

The National Sexuality Education Standards web
page states, “The National Sexuality Education
Standards is to provide clear, consistent and
straightforward guidance on the essential minimum,
core content for sexuality education that is
age-appropriate for public school students in grades K-
12.” The government activated these standards in 2012,
the very year that the government instituted the
Common Core curriculum in the public schools.
Rachel Carson Middle School in Herndon,
Virginia, is full of winners. The school won a
governor’s award for teaching excellence for the years
2007 to 2011, and the national forum for middle- school
improvement cited Rachel Carson as a school to watch.
