Susan Head

Susan Head currently works at Philanthropic
Consulting, LLC. As Principal, she provides multiple
consultative services for non-profit clients including:
serving as co-trustee on charitable trusts and
foundations, assisting foundations and public charities
on establishing policies, developing mission and mission
statements, strategic plans, grant guidelines, site
visit guidelines, and evaluating the success of grants.
Between 1981 and 2016, Susan worked at Wells Fargo
and its predecessor organizations. She worked as a philanthropic
specialist and her responsibilities included: sales, trust administration,
client management, oversight services for endowments, foundations,
and working with planned giving clients.

Susan has earned multiple degrees in a number of areas of study
throughout her career. She earned an M.B.A in Finance at Fairleigh
Dickenson University, a B.A. in Psychology at Western Maryland College,
and an M.S. in Psychology at Montclair State University. She is also a
Certified Financial Planner.
In addition to philanthropic work, Susan has served in many other areas
of community service. She has worked extensively with The Discovery
Orchestra and is a board member. Susan serves on the Development
and Strategic Planning Committees. Susan’s additional volunteer work
includes: board membership with The Trinitas Regional Medical Center
Foundation and is its former board chair. She currently serves on the
Foundation’s Strategic Planning, Finance and Development Committees.
Susan is the current chair of the Development Committee. Susan also
serves on the Montclair State University College of the Arts Advisory
Board, as well as Newark School of the Arts board.
