Contractor’s Manual
The DPG Contractor’s manual provides guidance for both the franchisee and the
appointed Principal Contractor, with regards to the detailed design and shop-fitting
requirements of a new store or retrofit. It will allow accurate costs to be established
at tender stage, and a consistent corporate image to be achieved and maintained.
The use of descriptive text, schedules of information, detailed drawings and
typical standard details is intended to provide a detailed brief to the Principal
Contractor, who will prepare their own fabrication and installation drawings
as required. This guide should be read in conjunction with all project specific
information, such as architectural, structural and M&E design drawings.
It will contain guidance on the following:
• Introduction
• Contractor’s Responsibilities
• External Specifications and Shop fronts
• Internal Specifications and Finishes
• Back of House Rooms
• Services and Systems
