166. THE GREAT SPIRIT OF PROMISE

The Great Spirit of promise, like flame is descending,
Among us in this Church;
Blessings coming from heaven, our eyes now bear witness,
Like heavenly showers.
Many Brethren are preaching,
They speak things from heaven, they're singing and crying;
It's a feast from the heavens that our eyes are beholding,
Such a day that's so glorious like Pentecost day.

If we ask for the Unction of God in great earnest,
We will be rejoicing;
Our hearts overflowing with the Spirit of Promise.
Unspeakable wonder!
Precious gifts will be given,
And in great celebration we'll sing Hallelujahs;
All the sick will be healed as they lay hands upon them,
Because God is the same now and forever more.

And when Christ has descended, in a thunderous uproar,
We will see His glory;
All the stars will be singing, the heavens, the oceans,
The rivers and the mountains.
All the mighty creation, our eyes will be watching,
The glory of Jesus;
On that wonderful blest day, of the coming of Jesus
That day all of His children will rise up with Him.

The gospel will not be preached again;
All the signs fated are manifesting,
