162. THE DAY PREDICTED

Acts 9.28 PRAISE/ 1 Tim 3.14 ADVENT
The day predicted is coming, Jesus Christ will return,
And every eye shall behold Him, the day the clouds roll back;
And multitudes of all people roundabout His great throne,
Melodies men never uttered, shall flood the earthly orb.
CHORUS
//Glory// to Christ, King for eternity,
//Glory// to Christ, His people will proclaim;
Glory, Hallelujah, His people will proclaim,
All His faithful believers will rise above the clouds.

Confusion cannot prevail here, the sheepfold is assured,
They'll dwell in eternal comfort, in everlasting homes;
Where no more cries and no weeping burden their hearts again,
Basking in the untold pleasures, with Christ they will rejoice.

Sorrowful hours of torment, seek to dismay my soul,
But I'll have divine redemption with my Lord Jesus Christ,
The thorns that painfully pierce me will no longer prevail,
Difficult trials won't matter or overshadow love.

My thirsty soul is desiring more holiness my Lord,
I want to follow the steep path of immortality;
With all the saints on that great day, in your sweet presence be,
In heavenly orchestration, praising your pleasant name.

The day is drawing near, when my soul shall fly away,
From this world of pain, to the mansion, bright and fair;
