Are there soldiers unfaithful in battle?
They will fall back, and run from the fray;
Now his back has become a clear target,
Satan's darts will take aim at his heart.

All recruits that will fight by His power,
Conquering all the glory of peace;
Bear your shield forged in your faith and your hope,
They are virtues to strengthen yollr soul.

Ev'ry soldier who trusts ih Christ Jesus,
Waves the banner of freedom for all;
