P. 334

CHORUS
       Your enemies have slandered and will always denounce you,
            Like Jesus loving martyr, who died on Calvary;
         Not one soul has contested your holy blessed teaching,
            Which in you is revealed, Ambassador of God.
                            2
         No one can recompense all your sacred works of labor,
            No one can parallel your persistence in the fray;
       We bring you humble off'ring, receive it from your children,
         And pray to God the Father to bless us with his grace.
                            3
         We all are here united, to hear your words of wisdom,
      A blessing from the heavens, that flow through you as streams;
      And strengthened in our faith we return home to our dwellings,
           And tell the world forever: You are Servant of God.

                            4
            It is a blessed privilege to know a Man so holy,
           To know you in our hearts as Apostle of the Lord;
       Do keep us in your prayers when you should speak to Jesus,
           And put us in God's hands so we all can persevere.

        458. WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSE

             Matt 24.14 MIS5toNAHtl:Sl"2"Trm·r:B·eXHORTATION
       What will be your response, when you know that your friend;
                 Never heard of the story of Jesus,
           Of His love on the cross, of His death and His rise?
             What to say when he points at you saying:
                         CHORUS
                 //"You never told me of Jesus//
            You met me day by day, and knew I was astray,
                  Yet never told me of Jesus?"
                            2
             Oh, how sad it will be that an immortal soul,
               Unaware that He came here to save it;
           That the kindest of Lords, gave His life for its sake,
              What to say when you hear their accuses?
