What is a prayer? Wisdom of the Comforter,
What skill is this? Secretive, mysterious;
Mysterious because it is spiritual,
It is secret, because it's not seen.

Oh, sweet hour of prayer,
Through you I speak with the mighty God;
Through you I have been blessed by God,
And I am now called a child of God.
Only through you, I have gained His favor,
Through you I'm always delighted;
And through you, I will have comfort.

And through a prayer, God's servant Jacob prevailed,
When in Bethel, He fought all night God's angel;
He struggled until God blessed him that night,
He only won, because of His prayer.

And through a prayer, Daniel was freed from the den,
And through a prayer, Jonah was saved from the sea;
This was not by their strength, or any man,
Only through prayer, that God heard their voice.

That's why our Lord, has left His teaching to us,
It is a need, to always pray and be strong;
Through our prayer we gain great victory,
Through our prayer, we will live with Him.
