500. THE LAND OF EGYPT
SENDA DE HINOJOS
The land of Egypt, the land that I roamed,
Worn and withered in error and woe;
A path of fennels has opened for me,
For the Shepherd divine sought my soul.
CHORUS
What a great land! But such a fraud!
But now my soul found a mystical way.
Egypt the great, with its allure,
All it's enchantments ruined my soul!
Pounced upon me like a fierce beast,
My heart was cast to dark of the grave;
Into perdition my soul was cast out!
Thanks to Egypt that led us to death.
2
The Savior offered salvation to me,
On His shoulders my soul has found rest;
Though I was weary from pathways of woe,
The kind Shepherd divine sought my soul.
3
One day, oh, Egypt, you'll pay for your sins,
All your deceptions will meet their reward;
Your fascinations and woeful allure
501. HERE AT THY FEET, OH, LORD
SENOR AQUfA TUS PLANTAS
Here at thy feet, oh, Lord, I'm weeping gratefully,
For all my faults and sins thou hast forgave them all;
I'm feeling something different and dwells within my heart,
Burns like a flame so mighty, it's thy eternal love.
