Do not allow conceit to keep me from Thy side,
Its poison will prevent us from drinking from Thy fountain.

The gifts Thou promised us, the virtues of thy Spirit,
They are to make us stronger to defeat the adversary.

Give us a love that's perfect, remove all doubt within us,
Will grant greater power to face the adversary.

All anger and all quarrels, all envies and dissensions,
You seek a Church that's perfect, without a spot or blemish.

Remove thyself from all sin, and seek only good actions,
If you seek lasting life, refrain your tongue from slander.

Never speak of your brother, much less about the pastors,
For God is never far off, He's always there beside you.

Miriam let loose her tongue, and slandered against Moses,
The words had not escaped her, when leprosy befell her.
