P. 81
Look upon our shield, oh, God,
Look down in favor, upon the face of your anointed;
///For just one day/// is far better in thine blest courts,
Than thousandfold elsewhere.
I had much rather doorkeeper be,
In my God's house, in //the House// of God
Than to dwell inside the tents of wickedness,
For the Lord God is a sun and a shield.
The Lord will give us favor, honor,
No good thing He withholds from them that walk uprightly now,
upright;
//Oh, Lord, God of the Mighty Hosts//
The man who trusteth in you is blessed.
113. WHEN MY LIFEWORK HAS ENDED

1 Cor 13.12 SLEEP / Rev 21.1-22 HOPE
When my lifework has ended and I cross the swelling tide,
When the bright and glorious morning I will see;
I will call my Redeemer when I reach the other side,
And His smile will be the first to welcome me.
CHORUS
I will know Him, I will know Him,
And redeemed by his side I shall stand;
I will know Him, I will know Him,
Oh, what joy! In the heavens I shall dwell.
2
Oh, the soul thrilling rapture when I view His blessed face,
And the luster of His kindly beaming eye;
How my heart full of joy will praise His love, grace, and mercy,
That prepare for me a mansion in the sky.
3
Oh, the dear ones in glory, how they'll beckon me to come,
And our parting at the river I recall;
In the valleys of Eden they'll be singing: Welcome home,
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.
