Through the gates to the city in a robe of spotless white,
He will lead me where no tears will ever fall;
In the glad song of ages I will mingle with delight,
But I long to meet my Savior first of all.

When my conflicts cease to hurt me in this earthly life below,
And I leave behind afflictions of this world;
We shall cross the gates eternal of the home prepared for us,
In the new Jerusalem.

With the saints we will be singing of redemption of our souls,

In a cry of jubilation we shall praise the Lord above!

Though the waves are rising higher, though the storm is brewing
fear,
Though our vessel should be shaken by their might;

Let us consecrate our lives to the full service of the Lord,
And the wonder of salvation loud proclaim;
If we're working in His vineyard we shall have a just reward,

In that city filled with beauty we will never say goodbye,
And we'll live a life of happiness and bliss,
Face to face we will see Jesus Christ the Savior of our souls,
