On the day my Lord found me, lost in wickedness and sin,
By His hand He rescued me on that day He freed my soul,
Now I am grateful to Him, I am grateful to the Lord,
He surrendered His life precious, there upon the vile cross!

I am free, truly free, He would not leave me astray,
I am free, by His love, His might and his love have freed me;
Oh, my blessed Jesus Christ.

My soul was wand'ring and lost in this world of wickedness,
But the Lord sheltered my soul in my hour of disgrace;
Now I am joyful and blessed, deep inside my grateful heart,
And I have promised to serve Him, humble and in holiness.

Divine Redeemer and Savior, Mighty God and Prince of Peace,

You have promised to save the souls,
