Thorn In The Heart

observer was dull over the top of trees and dropped on these
         places few yellow smoky grenades.

Nguyen rushed toward a large closest foot tree in hurried,
while few cannon shells flew over the market from the South.
They howled through the air, dropped and exploded as the flash
lightning with the crash of thunder on that area. It tossed some
banana trees up in the air after had to chop them off and few
bamboo trees fell on their bushes.

Nguyen took a look around him after an aircraft observer
plied away and French canons were quiet. He saw the people lie
anywhere on the ground. Most of them hid under the enclosing
tables of groceries, vegetable, pork meat tables and beside the
large foot trees. They were beginning to stand up with fearing of
the dead. They left everything behind them to run out of the
market and hurried to find the way for going home as fast as
         they could be.

In the market, people became more confusion when two B-
26 French bombers had plied over their heads and bombarded
the area in a short distance from the North Market. The columns
of back smoke rise as clouds. The anti-aircraft guns opened fire
while the two T-28 were howling, made the cycle and dull over
in the air. Nowhere the sounds of artilleries were continuing and
         echoed into the market.

Nguyen ran to the North-west of Bim market and got in the
Bai-Vang village main street. He saw the people ran up and
down everywhere on the streets, roads, and paths in a hurry.
Their pale faces were in fright while their eyes were confused at
any directions. They asked one of other on the road to find the
safe place or the direction that French and Vietminh troops did
not fight to look for the way to escape the war. Some women
placed their children into the baskets and shouldered them with
their exhausts. Few old people leaned on their sticks, walked
very slowly without help on the road, and sometimes they felt on
