This class is responsible for producing the yearbook. All aspects of production will be stressed including design, layout, copy writing, photography, computer use, and promotion. Students will be required to handle specific assignments concerning the coverage of various school activities. During deadline periods (from October through April), after-school and weekend involvement may be required. Students from photography and honors English classes, as well as those students with computer skills, are especially encouraged.

This school service course is structured for advanced math students to tutor Agoura High students in mathematics. Members of the class will participate in math related field trips, math competitions and, if qualified, will become members of the Math Honor Society. Math Tutoring is a school service class offering.

Students will assist science teachers in the preparation room. Most of the work involves maintaining order of supplies and equipment. Some assistance in paper work will also be done by students.

High school general elective
This class is for students interested in working in the media center. You will learn library operations that include processing, locating, and shelving circulating and reference materials. Students will become familiar with basic computer technology, on-line information retrieval and database formats. They will assist students in computer operations and information searches. In addition, students help in processing, issuing and checking textbooks.

PREREQUISITE: 2.0 GPA or better and approval of Assistant Principal
Students interested in assisting as office aides or teacher aides may gain an insight of the secondary school educational occupations by enrolling in this program. Students will be assigned work areas by the supervisor/ administrator according to school priority needs. The school service grade is not calculated in academic GPA & is not used to calculate eligibility. Students & parent will be required to sign a contract delineating responsibilities and expectations of school service students.
