eternity (Micah 5:2-4), but when the Word of God (the offspring of God)was made flesh in the womb of Mary and was bom as the Son of God, only then did God become Immanuel. Not another person, but God with us, Immanuel. We know Him as God, the Spirit, having flesh and blood in one person God-Man (Isaiah 7:12-14; 9:6; Hosea 2:16). Isaiah prophesied, "The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man. He shall stir up jealousy like a man of wan He shall cry, yea, roar; He shall prevail against his enemies" (Isaiah 42:13; 1 Corinthians 15:20-26,55-58; Revelation 1:17-18).
When we call upon the name of Jesus, we do not cry out to the human aspectofGodonly, but rather, weinvokeboththeFather(Spirit)andtheSon (flesh and blood). God, the Father, became God-Man to destroy the enemy of eternal life. (See Isaiah 25:7-9; 42:13; Revelation 1:17-18; I Cor. 15:47-57). When the Son was suffering in our stead, Immanuel, God with us in the flesh, was "reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing our trespasses unto us" (II Corinthians 5:19).
Therefore, Jesus revealed His true identity when He said, "I and my FatherareOne"(John10:30). WhenGodbecameImmanuel, theprophecies of Isaiah 7:13-14; 9:6; 42:13 and Hosea 2:16 were fulfilled. "No more Baali, but Ishi," meaning mighty man, husband man. Jesus said, "He that believes onme, believethnotonmebutonHimthatsentme" (John12:44-45). When
Jesus said, "He that seeth me, seeth Him that sent me," He revealed that the Son is the express picture of the Father, or the clear image of God, the Father.
The incarnation of the Father in the Son is clearly manifested in John 14.6- 10. Jesus said, "If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also, and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him." When Philip sai / "Shew us the Father," Jesus said unto him, "Have I been so long time wit you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hat seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, show us the Father? Believe thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words th^
speak unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwelleth in me, doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me. or else believe me for the very works' sake" (John 14:7-11). No one could give abetter answer concerning the oneness of the Father and the Son than J^^® Himself could. Therefore, we must believe His word, understanding
Jesus is God (Father) and Son in one body, one person.
Many so-called Christians are confused, lacking the revelation and understanding of the oneness of the Father with the Son. Furthermore, t ey are confused about the origin of Christ's flesh. John said, "Who is a
he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist" (I
