6 Rivers of living waters
They are types of the Holy Spirit (John 7:37-39;Ezekiel 36:25-27;47:1-12; Psalm 46:4-6; Isaiah 43:18-20 ) "The river of God is full of water" (Psalms 65:9-13;).
7 The water out of the smitten Rock
(I Corinthians 10:4) After the death of Christ, the Holy Spirit was sent. (See Acts 2:1-4;4:31;II Kings 3:16-17.) "Ho, every one that thirsteth,comeye to the waters" (Isaiah 55:1-3; cf. 44:3; 41:17-18;John 4:14;John 7:37-39).
8 The Dove
The Dove symbolizes the Spirit of humility and peace. (Matthew 3:16; John1:32). Hebreathedonthemandsaid,"receiveyetheHolyGhost"Qohn 20:22; cf. Genesis 6:17; 7:15;Job 12:10;Psalm 146:4; 150:6; Isaiah 2:22). "There was no breath in them...O breath and breathe upon these slain that they may live" (Ezekiel 37:5-10). The breath of God is not identifiable with visible per sonality. God always breaths His Spirit to all creation to give the life. The breathofGodiscalledHolySpirit. SinceGodisholy.HisSpirit"breath"is also holy (John 4:24; Revelation 4:8). It is not scriptural to make the breath of God a third god or third person.
9 Wind
T h e w i n d in Ezekiel 37:9-10; Song of Solomon 4:16; and other Old Testament scriptures, symbolizes the out pouring of the Holy Spirit as it is seen in the book of Acts chapter 2:1-4. Wind symbolizes the Holy Ghost in that it is invisible, inscrutable, irresistible, indispensable, and invigorating. (See also John 3:8.)
10 Wine
Wine, in Isaiah 55:1, is symbolic of the free gift of the Holy Ghost: "...come, buy wine...without money and without price." (See also Psalm 104:15; Acts 2:1-4,13-15; Ephesians 5:18,19.)
B The Sign of Receiving the Holy Ghost
The Bible declares, "And these signs shall follow them that believe...they shall speak with new tongues" (Mark 16:17-18).
