brought shock. Obviously moved, Sister Wendell told her of a vision she had had in America, long before she came to Ethiopia. "I saw a lovely Ethiopian lady like you, wear ing a traditional dress."
Just as moved, Sophia recognized Sister Wendell as the woman with beautiful, long hair that she had seen in a vision. She ran to her and kissed her.
"That is what you did in Hiy visioii," Sistef Wendell
said. The Wendells met the rest of Salome's family when they came to the church services.
Three years after her conversion, Elfenesh became ill, and the Lord told her He would take her home. A young Mennonite girl who loved Elfenesh insisted that
she go to the hospital. She disregarded her protests, say ing, "The Lord said it is time for me to go to my ever lasting home. I don't need the hospital."
Elfenesh died in the hospital a few days later. At the funeral, which was attended by thousands of people, her young friend, YechaJe-Yansash, sobbed in grief. Suddenly, the angel of the Lord pulled her aside and showed her
two beautiful angels carrying the soul of Mamma Elfenesh toheaven.Hesaid,"Yourfriendisgoingtohermansion in the presence of Jesus; do not grieve for her, but grieve
for yourself."
The young lady, though she did not come to the Lord,
told everyone present of her vision. Elfenesh left a blessed legacy to those she won with her testimony of deliver ance.
While Salome's son wandered drunk up and down the city's streets, a car hit him. His mother and his sisters shared the sweet story of salvation with him during his
recovery in the hospital.
