                                              GENERAL SESSION I:

                                               “NEGOTIATING IN A POLARIZED WORLD”

In an age when even the word “negotiation” is thought to mean
“capitulation”, developing bipartisan domestic policies and
bringing together decades old enemies becomes a herculean
task. Senator Mitchell has been the ‘go to’ guy to help resolve
these problems for some time. Whether it’s been pushing
through the Clean Air Act or the Americans with Disabilities Act
in the Senate, or serving as the Independent Chairman of the

Senator George Mitchell Northern Ireland Peace Talks or the Chairman of an International
Fact-Finding Committee on Violence in the Middle East, Senator
Mitchell has been a leader in some of the most difficult and
complicated negotiations spanning the globe. As our country
seems to be in a state of hyper-polarization, his deft touch and calm
demeanor belies an extremely trusted and empathetic negotiator which is needed now more than
ever. We urge you to come and listen to one of the true professionals in political discourse.

               GENERAL SESSION II:

               “WAIT, BUT WHY?”

Are you a procrastinator? Is procrastination a character flaw or a
quirky little personality trait? Is it even a bad thing? Not everyone
works the same way and what a boring world it would be if we
did. Some prefer to cram for exams, others study continuously.
Every generation, whether baby boomer, millennial or generation
X, produces procrastinators and they find ways to not only cope
but to thrive. Who’s to say whether or not General Custer would
have lived a long successful career in the military had he had just
an ounce of procrastination? If you’re not a procrastinator, come
listen to Tim Urban to better understand and appreciate how a
procrastinator’s mind works. If you are a procrastinator, come
and rid yourself of years of guilt and self-recrimination and learn
to accept procrastination as a way of life. Either way, you will Tim Urban
               enjoy this session.
