Annual Leave
Application must be requested at least 30 days in advance, unless in the case of an emergency
where priority consideration will be given. Payment in lieu of leave must be given in writing or on
the appropriate form. Employees accrue four weeks holiday each year.
Sick Leave
Leave (personal leave, carer’s leave, compassionate leave, parental leave, ETC) is in
accordance with the Waste Management Award 2010 and the National Employment
Standards.
An employee must text or ring before the start of shift and doctor’s certificate must be
obtained. All other leave will be dealt with through consultation with the supervisor.
