Brown Bros. Skip Bins demands a positive, proactive attitude and performance with respect to
protecting health, safety and the environment by all employees, irrespective of their position.
EMPLOYMENT
Employment with Brown Bros. Skip Bins is essentially governed by the Waste
Management award 2010(MA000043). The following section provides general
information regarding pay, conditions and our expectations of employees.
Employment Classification
● Permanent Employee An employee engaged by the company on a full time
basis.
● Permanent Casual An employee of the company engaged on a casual basis
who is given priority over other casual employees on the basis of experience and longevity
of service
● Casual Employee An employee whose position is based on the availability of
work
Probation Period
Each new employee on being notified of a permanent or casual position will serve a
probationary period of twelve weeks prior to being considered by the company as a permanent
employee.
Drivers Licenses
The appropriate licenses must be kept current and carried with the driver at all times. There
will be bi- annual inspections of all drivers’ licenses and an RTA driver declaration must be
supplied once per year for insurance purposes.
Fines
All traffic fines such as speeding, parking or negligent driving are the sole responsibility of the
driver. It is the responsibility of the driver to notify the company of any infringements they are
involved in whilst at work.
Payroll
Our pay cycle is weekly. Our pay cycle runs from Wednesday to Tuesday and pays are
processed on Thursdays, weekly. Depending on which bank any employee uses, some people
may be able to access their pay on Thursdays because this is the day payroll is actually
processed.
Pays will be automatically deposited electronically into the bank account details provided to
