Growing up I was always fascinated with stories of the James-Younger gang of Missouri. eir part in the Civil War and the outlaw years that followed afterward indeed fascinated many.
My image of them was a bunch of gun slinging outlaws that robbed banks and trains till they either got caught or died. History records these truths of their outlaw days. However in studying lesser known accounts in more depth through many years I have come to learn the eventual spiritual side, especially the Youngers, that these men experienced before they left this world.
In “ e Younger Odyssey” I have tried to set down in poem form the lesser known later accounts to go along with better known accounts. To me they are just as fascinating if not more so than their outlaw exploits. e revelation of their latter lives turns out in my mind to be a beautiful testimony of God’s enduring love and grace.
Reader, journey with me through the Younger’s odyssey, and as I did, learn the poetically beautiful REST OF THE STORY.
 ank you reader
And may God always bless you
