Psalm 107, Verse 20.
He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from all their destructions.
Eddie did what Needed to be done
In that moment of time Under the sun
Vietnam called it
A tunnel rat
Dear Lord in heaven Our Eddie did that
He had to think fast To stay alive
Being armed only With a forty five
What courage had to Be in Eddie's heart As he encountered Enemies in the dark
Why would Eddie Take a job like this With mortality
At such a high risk
Why did he do it
When he didn't have to America listen
He did it for you
Eddie paid the price
It haunts him to this day He did it for us
So America pray
For Eddie and those like Him fighting their own wars Jesus send them Your peace Lord, heal their scars
Eddie did what Needed to be done
In that moment of time Under the sun
