When Krishnanatha Maharaj was alive, my father always did important things based on the direction he gave. Krishnanatha Maharaj had told people that my father was a Sanyasi (monk) in the previous to the present life. And, he had a wish to experience a householder life. Due to this wish, he was reborn as a householder. But, in this life he would be liberated as he had reached the peak of spirituality. I had heard this story a couple of times from my mother. But, I learnt about it in an amazing way. When my father passed away in 1988, I was in New Zealand and I moved to USA as noted earlier (cf:His Family Life) just after his death. My widow mother learnt about my move. One of our immediate neighbors in Pune, Kusum Atya Ranade, was visiting the USA from Pune at that time. My mother sent to me a letter attached with a biography of my father’s previous life, in the hands of Kusum Atya.Until then, I had no idea that such a text existed. This biography is in the original handwriting of my father in the previous life. It was a surprise that she gave me the actual text only after my father passed away. This may be what my father had told her to do. I never asked her why she sent me that text at the time because I was in the USA then and I stayed in the USA for 11 years before my first revisit to India. This text was in my worship shrine in the USA from 1988 till 2006. My mother passed away in 2001. [Illustration 26: My father’s handwritten biography of the previous life]
After 2007, I started spending more time in India and traveling around the world. In 2012, I started traveling to Mysore, India, to teach Yoga. I noticed that my mind gets very pleased and focused on the way to Mysore between Kolhapur and Dharwad. I thought it was just a coincidence. However, when I was traveling in a car from Mysore to Pune in 2013, I suddenly felt like reading that text which I was carrying from
