Children’s Day at Florida’s Capitol building was a huge success this year. The ELC of Duval
took a packed bus of parents, childcare directors, ELC staff and members of the Duval Early
Learning Directors Network (DELDN) to attend the action-packed event. The goal is to
help strengthen Florida’s families by sharing a commitment to improve our communities by
taking care of our most precious commodity, our children. It also provides a platform for
advocates to push children’s issues to the center stage for lawmakers.
A huge thank you to our local legislation delegation for meeting the group and helping to
prioritize early childhood development.
