The ELC held its second
Town Hall Meeting
to discuss topics and
issues facing all child-
care providers in Duval County and across the
state of Florida. The meeting took place at FSCJ
Downtown. Topics included:
House Bill 1091 - This bill requires all providers
who have School Readiness (SR) contracts, to
have program assessments
VPK Readiness Rate
Guiding Stars of Duval, and
Calculating the SR Payment Rate
The ELC of Duval enjoyed hosting two Easter egg hunts in the communities of Calloway
Cove and Valencia Way. Children in both communities scrambled for eggs, putting them in
the baskets donated by the ELC. The event also included lunch and fun, learning activities.
