VARICK MEMORIAL A.M.E. ZION CHURCH
                                                   DELMA MARSHALL

                              Delma Marshall, a native of Tarrytown, New York, has been a member of the Varick
                             Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, Brooklyn for over 50 years.  At Varick, she serves as
                             Deaconess, President of the Women’s Home & Overseas Missionary Society and a
                             member of the Christian Education Department.  She also serves as the New York
                             City District Life Members Chairman.  Delma earned an Associate Degree in English
                              from Westchester Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from
                                Brooklyn College.  She worked at the Brooklyn Hospital for over 35 years as a
                                 Radiologic Technologist (quality control) and is currently retired.  One of her
                                  proudest achievements was an entry in the National Anthology of Poetry.  She
                                   is also proud to have co-authored a hymn which is now included in the A.M.E.
                                   Zion Bicentennial Hymnal.  Delma has led her local society in the cause of
                                  missions.  They  sponsor  soup  &  sandwich  ,  pre-thanksgiving  dinners  and
                               clothing give-aways.  Delma is a volunteer @ Meals-On-Wheels. In her free time,
            she enjoys Cryptograms, Words with Friends and Jeopardy.  The recent widow of the Rev. Dr. Calvin
            B. Marshall III, Delma resides in Hempstead N.Y., where she loves spending time with Edye, Holly and
            Tino.


                                         RUSH TEMPLE A.M.E. ZION CHURCH
                                                  DEBRA Y. WALROND

                             Debra Yvonne Walrond was born on September 16, 1954 to the proud parents of
                               Stanley and Ethel Walrond.  A child of West Indian and South Carolinian descent,
                               she was nurtured by two strong parents who had little or nothing at times, but
                               they made do.  She was taught and raised to be loving, courteous, respectful and
                                 always reverent to God.  She is an alumnus of John Jay College of Criminal
                                  Justice, with a concentration in Social and Deviant Behavior.  She retired after
                                    of forty years in the New York City government system.  She is also the proud
                                     mother of an amazing daughter, Shakirah Moe.  A life-long member of Rush
                                     Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, she serves on the Board of Trustees, Parent
                                     Body President of the Women’s Home and Overseas Missionary Society, the
                                   Voices of Rush, the South Carolina Ministry and the Gospel Chorus.  She is a
                                 former President of the Reverend Eldridge Gittens Floral Club and a former
            Superintendent of the Buds of Promise.  She also served as a member of the Busy Bees, Prison Ministry
            and the Voices of Unity.   She was proud and humbled to serve as  the host church’s General
            Chairperson for the 197th Session of the New York Annual Conference.  Her goal was to bring the
            camaraderie of all back to the church.  She used as her motivation of David slaying Goliath, proving
            that with God, all things are possible.  Her energy and excitement are due to the fact that her only
            desire is to serve God.

                                                        G. BARBARA HARMITT

                               G. Barbara Harmitt was born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies in the Parish at
                                 St. Andrew.  She attended Red Hills Elementary School and later Grantham High
                                  School.  After High School, she worked at the Worchester Ceramic Company.
                                  Sis. Barbara was privileged to marry George Harmitt and have two (2) children,
                                  Lyndon and Antoinette.  After migrating to the United States  in 1969, she
                                  worked in the banking industry; first at JP Morgan Chase Bank for four (4)
                                 years and then at Citi Bank for seven (7) years.  Later, Barbara worked at St.
