Implementation Strategy
• An implementation strategy is a sequence of major work packages or projects.
• The purpose of the implementation strategy is to attain the CSFs, measured by KPIs
and it should include completion criteria for major work packages that are dependent
on other projects
• Implementation timelines should be realistic given the scope, budget, risk and
potential benefits from the project, and baseline performance targets should be
agreed with the customer to provide targets by which project performance can be
measured
• KPIs determine what within an organization needs to be evaluated and should be
clear and specific. Prerequisites for selecting KPIs to monitor progress include
analysis of the mission, identification of stakeholders and definition of all goals
• In addition to KPIs, success can be measured through reduced implementation
timelines and increased customer loyalty
