• Direct financial benefits are those which can be specified in hard cash terms

• Examples: Increased NPV, reduced project costs, reduced travel costs for
executives, increased revenues from e-commerce, reduced CAPEX and
reduced OPEX

• Indirect financial benefits are those which contribute to revenues and/or
profitability but which cannot directly be specified in hard cash terms

• Examples: process efficiencies, faster time to market, new capabilities,
realization of target business outcomes, improved brand image and
improved reputation

• Operational costs relating to technology implementation may include software
maintenance/support and co-hosting in the public cloud
