• The recommended way to mitigate or minimize risks is to follow the concept of
“categorize, analyze and prioritize” by conducting a Risk Impact Assessment, then
creating a Risk Mitigation and Management Plan
• Risks are generally categorized into three groups: Strategic, Regulatory and
Financial
• To help calculate the size of an identified risk consider both its frequency of
occurrence and its level of impact
• When you rate the severity of technical constraints, action you should take for an
unexpected obstacle are to assess the impact on the solution implementation and
benefits to the customer and then explain the situation in context of the big picture
• One risk that associated with relying on a customer's IT department is that the
timeframe for executing tasks may be longer than if Cisco or a Partner did the work
