Change Management
• A recommended approach to addressing business constraints in a large user
bases is to train a core set of users, then develop plan for them to train the others
• An adoption and communications plan should include key messages, target
audience, communications channels, roles and responsibilities, frequency and
method to distribute status information and success metrics
• User adoption is often overlooked within a technology project, but change has
only been accepted when it becomes part of the customer’s day to day
operations
• Adoption can only be said to have occurred once the solution is deployed,
features and options are activated, and your customer is realizing the benefits
• When assessing user readiness for a rollout, pay attention to users’ existing
awareness and their available time for training
