Change Management

 • Purposes of change management:

        • Efficient and prompt handling of change through standardized methods and
             procedures

        • Minimization and management of risk

        • The ability to ensure all changes support the business needs and goals

 • Factors assisting with effective change management include strong leadership from a
      senior manager with authority, education of users as to the need for change and high
      quality end user support during the adoption phase

 • Effective change management requires engagement with influencers to communicate
      benefits to users. The role of change leadership is to create a shared vision, to
      encourage and empower users, to address their concerns and assign key people to
      be role models
