• Cisco’s Cloud Web Security solution provides the same world-class web security as the WSA in a cloud-based form
factor. This solution is ideal for widely distributed organizations with multiple branch, small, or home offices, or
with a high percentage of mobile workers. Rather than backhauling all web traffic across dedicated lines or VPN
connections, web traffic is directed through a cloud-based web security tool that acts as a security buffer between
the user or device and the Internet.

• CWS is available in a number of form factors, including direct to cloud services, connectors on the ISR-GR routers
for branch office protection, an ASA connector to add advanced web security to its built in web essentials license, a
client-based service on the AnyConnect Mobile Security client, and even a connector on the WSA to allow for hybrid
appliance/cloud deployments.
