X Alliance of the Unholy
A lone figure waited until his subjects left before leav- ing his perch.
“All this time and it’s finally payday,” he said as he trembled into activity. “I’ve got to find a way to pull this off without getting dead.
He packed his gear slow and deliberately realizing his plan had to be flawless to succeed. He had been following one of the players but realized that based on the conversation he had heard the other might be much more dangerous much more sinister. For this to truly be payday, Dan would have to go into the lion’s den. How far was he willing to go he thought he would find out within the time limit he had just overheard.
Dan had spent the last week creating, changing and refining his plan of attack.
“I can’t play games or let him have the upper hand, or I become their liability instead of my own asset. It has to be my way. I need to call him tonight and set things up on my terms, its time.”
After work, Dan spent quite a bit of the evening trying to quell the nervous energy about to devour him. When night fell, he went for a long walk. He had not worked out all of the details and knew that collecting his payday could still get him killed, but he was determined to set his plan in motion. His mind and heart knew that he would never get a dangerous opportunity like this again in his life.
