My favorite software to use is Serato. Any software you decide to choose, make sure you can operate real- time music control, scratch loop, reverberation and delays, and live loop. Traktor is also a very popular software that DJ’s like to use. If you are looking for companies that can provide additional supplies, check out Pioneer and Numark. Make sure you do your research.
Both software will allow you to access a bundle of Mp3 music products, and save it on your hard drive in a format to complement your CD and vinyl selections.

The best DJ’s are music collectors and music experts. It’s not about just understanding the genres, you need to know quality sources to purchase your music. Yes, I said purchase. Bootleg copies are a disaster waiting to happen. Imagine spinning in a club with a bootleg MP3 and the quality if off, and it begins to distort. For this reason alone, a DJ that is worth their salt purchases its songs. Quality audio is always a key factor in a successful show and should never be compromised.
