Headphones are very personal for a DJ, they must be comfortable. You will be wearing them a lot – the last
thing you need is an uncomfortable pair of headphones. Headphones for a DJ, is like a warm blanket in the middle
of winter, you want to cover yourself to keep the cold out.
The difference, we don’t need to keep the cool out, we
need our headphones to keep outside noise out and isolate the music. A good pair of headphones gives a DJ the ability to listen and cue your tracks privately. Can you imagine letting the audience hear everything you are doing? Absolutely Not!
LAPTOP COMPUTER
Alright guys, your laptop is an extension of your skills, you need it to make the magic. You need it to house your software. Fortunately, DJ’ing is not the gaming industry, it does not require a lot of RAM to make things run smoothly. I would suggest you select a product that can store what you need, yet run fast.
There are minimum specifications for computers, including 2GB RAM, 25GB HDD, core two
duo processor, and several USB cables. Keep in mind, you also need to consider the screen size. Make sure it’s large enough for you to see it clearly. As for USB connectors, I suggest a minimum of 3. Another critical factor is battery life – even though you will probably have plenty of plug- ins, it’s always good to be prepared.
